Hi there! About me, huh? Well, I'm the video graphic & webmaster for the Help Me Mommy shadow cast. As a performer, My main roles have been Rocky, Brad & Trixie. I have just recently performed as Frank-N-Furter, and may jump back into that role one day. I also work security from time to time to make sure our family (guests included) are safe and that we can continue to have the show at the Art Theater :).
I got started in Rocky Horror quite a few years ago now, back in the Pink Invaders days (for everyone that remembers, it was the one on 61st & Broadway.) I had gone to the show for the second or third time, and had thought about performing with the cast. A friend of mine had told Shawn Stutler, and he came up to me, and said "Would you like to do Rocky" "Sure would" "Good, you have a week, we need a rocky next week. Get your costume and learn the part.".... And so that's how I became part of this glory.
But I'm going to take a minute to tell you my thoughts on HMM & RHPS... The Rocky Horror Picture Show as a movie was not really a success, and was geared, in my opinion, to make fun of the movies of that time frame. Many people didn't accept the movie, because it was "weird" and "different", however, this sets the tone for the people that love it so much. We accept people, and the movie, for being "different" or just really being yourself. No matter if you are a business man closet freak, quirky fast food line cook, or a strange plumber; everyone is accepted here. And that is truly part of the glory of the show all together. The audience, the movie, the cast & crew, and just the overall atmosphere... We have become one big family.
On a personal note, I'm a computer geek. But I make it look good to be a computer geek :). I also have experience with set design, sound mixing & queuing and lighting out side of the show.
If you would like to talk to me, have any questions on the cast, the web site, or anything really, you can email me: tim at helpmemommy.com. See you at the show!
